Get up to $50 in credits to spend on eTextbooks at Kno.com
Wow, college sure has changed since my days at dear old Penn. Instead of buying actual paper textbooks and then having to resell them or trash them after the semester is over, you can now buy electronic textbooks for Kindles and Ipads! In fact, I'm told, many college courses now prefer or require them. I like this. I'm all for going paperless, especially with books that you won't want to own long-term...to me this is about as green as you can get.
Kno.com (one of the largest eTextbooks vendors) is giving away up to $50 in credits per person through a Facebook game. Visit the Kno Facebook page and spin the "Wheel of Knowledge" to earn up to $50 in credits towards the purchase of Kno's eTextbooks. You can earn extra turns at the wheel by messaging your friends about the promotion. Once you redeem your credits, you cannot play the game anymore (except to earn an entry to win an Ipad). The credits can be used towards discounts on the purchase or rental of over 100,000 eTextbooks available for Kno’s software on the iPad, Web and Facebook (not sure about the Kindle). This promotion is going on until 9/30/11.
