Daily Cheapskate: 20% off sitewide at Oneida = great finds on kitchenware for Pesach

Oneida has come out with a new 20% off sitewide promo code, MH20, with which you can score some excellent deals on flatware and other tableware. Hello, Pesachwares.

This Anchor Hocking Alyssia II 40-piece service for 8 set was $80.00, is on sale for $34.99 and drops by 20% down to $27.99 after the promo code. That's $3.50 per place setting.

But Oneida has annoying shipping charges starting at $5.49, with free shipping starting at a $99 minimum purchase. To avoid the shipping charge you can do one of two things: team up with a friend to get to that $99 sweetspot or (what I did) raid the excellent clearance section. Set of 4 for $3.99 after promo code

This set of four Anchor Hocking Rio Coastal Blue Small Tumblers was $12.00, is on sale for $4.99 and drops down to $3.99 (yup, $1.00 per glass) after the promo code.

$7.99 after promo code

This Anchor Hocking value 30-piece, service for 6 set of flatware was $20.00, is on clearance for half price at $9.99. and drops to $7.99 after you apply the promo code, or $1.33 per setting, a MAJOR steal.

(Please note, if you are looking for service-for-12 flatware and bought only two sets of these with the promo code and nothing else, your grand total would be $7.99 * 2 = $15.98 + $7.49 shipping = $23.47 for service for 12, which works out to $1.96 per place setting. Still a huge bargain, even with shipping.)
