I've been tracking these two KFP items for the last two weeks, and the price dropped quite a bit just a few hours ago.
Amazon has got an 8-count pack of Gefen KFP (kosher for Passover) Chunk Light Tuna in water for $14.32 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping. That comes to $1.79 per 6 oz. can, which is a high price for during-the-year tuna, but anything under $2.00 per can is a good price for KFP chunk light tuna.
I'm posting this deal a little bit late tonight, but if you're up now and are fortunate enough to catch this deal, I wouldn't wait. This is the first decent price I've seen for KFP tuna online so far this year.
Amazon has also got an 8-count pack of Gefen (kosher for Passover) Fancy Albacore Chunk White Tuna in water for $18.67 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping. That comes to $2.33 per 6 oz. can, again, a high price for during-the-year, but not for albacore KFP tuna.
KFP (kosher for Passover ) tuna is basically represented by seven brands: Gefen, Dagim, California Delight, Season, King of the Sea, and the two store brands that come out with a special OU-P run every year, Pathmark and Shoprite. The store brands usually go for about $1.00 per can, but Shoprite and Pathmark are both East Coast chains, so it doesn't do kosher-keeping residents of "out-of-town" communities much good. Out here in Denver, it's always been much less expensive to get KFP tuna online rather than in the stores, where I've seen it go for upwards of $4.00 per can.
