Unique honey dishes, starting at $13.90 shipped (great hostess gifts or buy one for your table)

We are eating a bunch of meals with friends on Rosh Hashana and Sukkot, and this year, I was thinking that I'd look into bringing honey dishes as a hostess gift instead of the usual wine, flowers, or dessert.  But the price had to be right. I generally spend about $20 on a hostess gift for a meal.

As usual, I turned to Amazon.  And Amazon did not disappoint.

The brass, apple-shaped honey dish above is $18.54 with free Prime or SuperSaver (minimum $25 purchase) shipping.  I love the material here...brass is unusual in a honey dish.

I liked this apple-design honey dish with dipper and plate because I thought it was very different.  It's priced at  $9 + $4.90 for shipping = $13.90, but it gets even better.  If you buy 4 items from Top Judaica, the vendor that sells this honey dish, you will get the fifth one free (and slightly reduced shipping).  The four items do not have to be honey dishes, they can be anything from this selection (I love the etrog box, this washing cup, and some of the gorgeous challah covers).

This honey dish with dipper and plate is also from  Top Judaica  (and so it's included in the buy-4-get-1-free deal) and is priced at $9 + $4.90 shipping = $13.90.  I'm not super-crazy about the design, but I love the "Harachaman" pasuk that's written around the edge.

On the more expensive end is this uniquely designed sterling silver honey dish for  $51+ $7.99 shipping = $58.99. For a sterling silver item, it is actually very well priced.  (It would make a great hostess gift for a sleepover guest for Rosh HaShana, and an extravagant hostess gift for a meal guest.)

This was actually my favorite honey dish, mostly because it doesn't really look like a honey dish.  This glass, silicone and stainless steel honey dish and dipper is priced at $22.99 with free Prime or SuperSaver shipping.  It's also dishwasher safe, which is a huge plus in my book, especially when you are dealing with sticky, challah crumb-filled honey.

Finally, there's this Old Tupton Ware Art Deco honey dish and dipper, which I found to be pricey but still beautiful and different.  It's $23.98 +  $17.37 shipping = $41.35.  (You can find other Old Tupton Ware honey dishes here, if you like this style.)
