America's 15 Most Disliked Companies

Business Insider recently came out with this list of America's 15 Most Hated Disliked Companies based on metrics from the American Consumer Satisfaction Index.  The summary is below, but the article is still worth a read as it goes into some of the service challenges for these companies.  I found this list fascinating:  airlines, cable providers, utilities, insurance companies, banks, etc.  Conspicuously absent IMHO?  Auto-makers, oil companies, brokerage firms, large manufacturers, department stores.

The biggest surprise for me?  Facebook.  Yes, it is frustrating every time Facebook fixes something that ain't broke, but really, most hated?  Facebook provides its services for free!  My $0.02?  I think there is a growing tidal wave of unfounded anger and jealousy against companies that are wildly successful and this has come about as sort an unintended consequence of the ridiculous "Occupy" movement.

Were there any surprises for you on the list?  Who makes your bottom 15 list?
  1. Long Island Power Authority (LIPA)
  2. Northeast Utilities
  3. Charter Communications
  4. Comcast TV service
  5. United Airlines
  6. Time Warner
  7. Cox Communications Tv Service
  8. American Airlines
  9. US Airways
  10. Delta Airways
  11. CenturyLink
  12. Facebook
  13. Aetna
  14. DirectTV
  15. Bank of America
