A friend of mine was running a huge Israeli Shul event in New York this week, and apparently these Brinees were very big items. I was really pleased to find Brinees on Amazon for $9.99 for with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping. I love the clever idea behind this Israeli item.
Watch the video below to get an idea of how it works, but basically, you use it for any food that needs to be stored in liquid, but is served without liquid. So it works for condiments like pickles and olives, marinated cheeses like feta, stewed fruits, I was even thinking about sliced gefilte fish loaves! Suction moves the liquid to the center of the bowl when you're ready to serve the item and then when you're ready to store it again, you push the liquid back out to the outer bowl, where the food is.
- Now use only one dish for storing and serving liquid immersed small foods!
- Big enough to contain the full contents of a standard sized can
- Dish-washer friendly
- Kideasy assembly
- Strong, durable and colorful plastic, FDA approved for food storage
(Also, when you purchase a Brinee, you get the added bonus of supporting an Israel-based vendor.)
