Let me start off by saying this:  you probably don't need a $500 7-quart Kitchen Aid stand mixer for Pesach. You really don't. 

You won't be mixing any thick challah doughs and you will be using your mixer primarily for cakes and desserts, so you can probably get away with a smaller bowl and much less wattage of power.  And you aren't going to be buying something that needs to stand the test of constant usage; you are going to be using this thing for one week a year, so durability and stamina are not top-priority.  On the other hand, it will get a lot of intense use for that week and you want it to last for many Pesachs to come, so you don't want to buy a no-name piece of junk either. 

Amazon has the Hamilton Beach Power Deluxe Stand/Hand Mixer in white for $17.48 with free Prime/SuperSaver shipping.  It's 225 watts, which probably wouldn't work for a challah dough, but will slice right through a cake batter.  It comes with a 4-quart bowl, has six speeds and doubles as both a stand mixer and a hand mixer.  I think this is just ideal for Pesach, and you just cannot beat this under-$20 price tag.
