Springtime home improvement: get 5% cash back on your Chase Freedom card

From 4/1/11-6/30/11, you can earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 spent on your Chase Freedom Visa Card in the following categories:

• home improvement
• home furnishing
• lawn & garden stores

You must enroll your card at ChaseBonus.com in order to get the 5% cash back.  (All other purchases earn a standard 1%).  If you don't have a Chase Freedom Visa yet, they are currently running a promotion offering 10,000 points (which can be redeemed for a $100 check) if you sign up and make $500 in purchases in the first three months.  There is no annual fee for this card.

We're planning some more improvements in the summertime, but I'll buy the supplies on my Freedom card now, to take advantage of the 5% cash back.  Finally, don't forget to like Home Depot and Lowe's on Facebook, where they often run time-limited flash sales with huge markdowns.  I've gotten some incredible deals from there.
