Frugality is not just about saving money; it's about keeping your life organized and manageable so that it works for you, and part of that is getting rid of stuff you don't need. Fellow Coloradoans, while you're cleaning out your closets this season and updating your outerwear, please remember those who can't afford to keep warm, and donate your used but still usable coats to Coats for Colorado. You can drop off your coats at any Dependable Cleaners location before 11/30/11. And if you live outside of Colorado, I hope you will find your community's local coats-for-the-needy program and donate as well.
Thanks for posting this and reminding us to give back. We all got new Northface parkas this year (thanks to your blog, we saved a fortune!) I was going to give our old coats to Goodwill, and I just searched on Google and found this: http://www.nwherald.com/2011/11/23/coat-a-kid-campaign-collects-donations-for-needy-families/akas50j/ They are right in our area and I'm going to drive over there tomorrow and drop off our old coats.
