$4 off Kirkland Atlantic Salmon at Costco
Pesach is a mere 7 weeks away. <shudder>
And just in time, Costco has come back with their no-clip automatic coupon on their frozen Kirkland Atlantic Salmon, $4 off each 3-lb. bag. Out here in the Denver Costco (YMMV), these 3 lb. bags are $19.99, so that comes to $15.99 or $5.33 per lb. Limit 3 bags per visit.
I will not eat frozen fish because I absolutely hate the fishy, "old" taste that comes along with freezing, BUT I make an exception with the Kirkland brand. Somehow, they have refined their freezing process so that their salmon never tastes fishy, even if it has been in the freezer for a while. There are usually seven pieces in a 3 lb. bag (they are roughly 7 oz. each before cooking, pretty substantial) and Costco individually wraps each piece, so they don't clump together. Knowing the quantity allows me to plan my meals accordingly: I use one piece for a main dish and half a piece for an appetizer. And (for my kosher-keeping readers,) living in a community outside of New York, where hechshered frozen fish is challenging to come by, it's nice that this salmon comes with OU kosher certification. AND, for the last four years, the OU has approved Kirkland salmon for Pesach consumption (and hopefully will do so again this year), so you better believe I'm going to be buying at least 3 bags and setting them aside just for Passover.
This clip-free automatic coupon is good through 2/24/13.
HT: Caroline B. and Toby G. (on the Daily Cheapskate Facebook page), thank you!
