Free Bumble Bee tuna at your Kroger affiliate

UPDATE: 11/8/11 The Recyclebank Bumble Bee reward coupon is now 125 points, and you may only print this coupon one time per month.

I hesitated to post this deal, because it only works if you've got enough points on Recyclebank. Here goes:

Do you live near a Kroger affiliate store?  Here in Denver, I shop at King Soopers.  All Kroger affiliate stores are running their "Save $5 when you buy ten items" this week, and at King Soopers (YMMV), one of those items is a pouch of Bumble Bee Light Chunk tuna in water.  It normally goes for $0.99, but you get $5.00 back when you buy ten of them, so with this sale, that pouch costs $0.49.

Go to your Recyclebank account, and print five Bumble Bee $1-off-any-two-items coupons.  These coupons can be redeemed at 100 points each.  Sometimes (not always), you can print two of them in one reward link using your back button; I was actually able to do that this time, so it only cost me 300 points to print six coupons, and I'll have an extra coupon. You may only order this coupon  reward once every two weeks, so unless you've been printing them on a regular basis, or you and your spouse have separate accounts, you won't be able to print them all in one shot. If you can print five of them, you'll score ten free tuna pouches, with a penny overage on each.  Even if you only have enough points to print one or two, you'll still get two free tuna pouches for each coupon you print. Since Recyclebank has been giving away lots of point-earning opportunities over these last few weeks, many of you might have enough to snag at least a few Bumble Bee coupons.

What is Recyclebank? It's a rewards program that gives you points for engaging in recycling-related educational activities. Those points can be cashed in for great coupons and rewards. I've belonged for over a year and a half now. They have a wide variety of worthwhile redemption opportunities, including gift cards at popular vendors, and it's easy to amass points (even if you're not the "greenest" person). Join now.
