UPDATE 12/3/15: JBrick still has a few of these left, and now they also have two different kinds of LED Light kits so your kids can actually "light" their LEGO® menorahs!
What is it about LEGO® that makes us love it so much?
We don't have kids, but we still appreciate how awesome LEGO® is. It's a great baby gift, birthday present, etc. It allows for endless streams of creativity and keeps kids occupied for hours.
When I discovered a company that made original Jewish-themed LEGO® kits from genuine LEGO® parts, I really wanted to share my discovery with Daily Cheapskate readers who were hunting for unusual Chanukah gifts for their kids this year.
Jbrick is a company run by Yitzy Kasowitz, who is actually a professional LEGO® builder and designer (ah, to have an awesome job like that!). All of the sets on Jbrick.com are designed by Yitzy; all are original designs using genuine LEGO® components. Yitzy is very passionate about his work and about creating high-quality Jewish themed LEGO® kits for children.
He has designed a set that is going to make a FANTASTIC Chanukah gift: this Jbrick 3-in-1 Custom LEGO® Menorah Building Set. It comes with 96 LEGO® pieces; your child can build a menorah, then take it apart and build a dreidel, then take that apart and build a different style menorah (color instructions included). What an AMAZING Chanukah gift for your little LEGO® fan.
The Jbrick 3-in-1 Custom LEGO® Menorah Building Set is priced at $38.00, but enter promo code DAILYCHEAPSKATE at checkout and that $38.00 price will drop by 5% to $36.10. (Shipping starts at $4.98.) You can purchase other Jbrick LEGO® sets in the same order to save on the shipping, but this 5% promo code will work only on the special menorah sets.
UPDATE 12/3/15: You can now also purchase two different kinds of LED Light Kits to go with the LEGO® Menorah: the LED Light kit for $45.00 and the Deluxe LED light kit for $85.00.
Since each set is designed and assembled by hand, there are a very limited number of Jbrick 3-in-1 Custom LEGO® Menorah Building Set available, so not only are you going to be buying a unique gift, you are purchasing a kit that will eventually become a collector's item.
