Those of you who have been reading Daily Cheapskate for a while know how much I talk about our Lenox Portola flatware set. Lenox makes absolutely beautiful silverware. It's a heavy, substantial-feeling set of 18/10 flatware, with the usual understated, elegant Lenox design. It looks great on our Shabbos table. We call it our "grown-up" silverware. (We have a nice set of Oneida for dairy, and there is just no comparison between the two. Honestly, if we didn't already have the dairy set, I might consider getting the French Perle for dairy.)
If you've got a son or daughter who is engaged or a newlywed, or you need a nice wedding/shower present, or if you could really use a new set for Pesach, or if you've been married twenty years and never treated yourself to a new silverware set, now is a great time to pick up this high-end set for a great price.
