Make your life a little easier: join UPS My Choice

Frugality isn't just about saving money; it's about becoming more organized, streamlining the things you need to do, and making life easier for yourself.  As a frugal shopper, I take advantage of quite a few online deals, many of which use UPS for their delivery service. It's nearly impossible to keep track of when things will be arriving, if I'll be home for the packages that require signatures, if valuable things will arrive when I'm out of town, etc.  I signed up for UPS My Choice in November 2011.  Now I don't know what I would do without it.  UPS My Choice lets you know in advance (via email, voice or text message) when packages addressed to you will be arriving and where they are coming from. It also lets you delay arrival if you so choose, re-route packages to a neighbor's house, tell you which packages will require a signature etc. If you've ever had a delivery kerfuffle on an important item, you know how important it can be to have a handle on delivery times, dates, locations, and security options.
  • Get delivery alerts: get active notifications via text, phone or e-mail the day before a delivery.
  • Find out approximate delivery times: when possible, UPS will provide an estimated delivery time frame.
  • Authorize shipment release: give authorization online for UPS to deliver packages without a signature for drop-off when you're not going to be home to sign in-person.
  • When you can't be home, hold the package for will-call at a UPS Ops facility.
Join UPS My Choice for free by click on the banner above this post.  If you shop online frequently, receive shipments for work, get regular deliveries of medical or infant items, or just receive plain-old packages from Amazon every now and then, UPS My Choice is an invaluable tool.
