I know some of you have been complaining about the recent timing of the Daily Cheapskate daily email summary. It has been very late going out this past week or so. My apologies.
The Daily Cheapskate email summaries are sent out using a service called Feedburner, which is owned by Google. Basically, what Feedburner does is aggregate all my recent posts together in a newsletter format and automatically sends them out twice a day to two separate subscription lists, the first at 2:00 pm Central and the second one at 6:00 pm Central.
Up until the last few days, it's been very reliable. For some reason, this past week or so, it's been sending out the emails hours late. It's not just the Daily Cheapskate daily email; it has affected a great many other blogs. Feedburner is aware of the problem and they are working towards fixing it. In the meantime, please bear with me. If you're concerned about missing a timely deal, you can always check in periodically to the website, or follow Daily Cheapskate on Facebook or Twitter. Hopefully, this problem will be fixed very soon. I appreciate your loyalty and readership.
Another engagement issue has been brought to my attention. Many of you read my blog in Google Reader, which is going to disappear into the ether on 7/1/13. I haven't researched any good alternatives yet, but be aware that it's on my radar. More on that later.
