Ever since Amazon added Prime Pantry (which I don't think is worthwhile) to their roster of purchase options, it's been really difficult to find a great deal on Tide detergent, because Amazon transitioned almost all of their best Tide deals from Subscribe & Save to Prime Pantry.
In the past, my stock-up price for Tide was $4.50 for 50 oz. or 9 cents per oz.. Anything for that price or less, and I bought as many as my garage shelf could hold.
It's an absolute killer price, but the wrench in the works is the shipping. I have three options: I can either order it online and pick it up in-store for free, or pay $4.97 to have it shipped, or it ships free with a minimum $50.00 purchase.
Since this is such an awesome deal, I'm would normally buy six of these and bring my total over $50 for the free shipping, but because of the super-low price, Walmart is limiting quantities to two per purchase. I do have a few Walmart stores nearby, so I'm going to buy two of these and opt for free in-store pickup.
(Truth is, even if I bought one and opted for the $4.97 shipping, that would raise my cost per oz. to 10 cents, which is still a pretty frugal buy. )
