5,000 BTU air conditioner (for small rooms) for $94.99 with free shipping

When I first saw this deal, I was skeptical.  Pretty skeptical.

VM Innovations has got a Lifesmart 5,000 BTU air conditioner for $94.99 with free shipping.  

See why I was doubtful?   I have never seen a price that low on an air conditioner, period.  I know stores that charge more than that to deliver an air conditioner.   And add to that:  I was unfamiliar with the Lifesmart brand.

Then I googled around and saw that the same air conditioner was being sold through Amazon over here (for $109.99).  And it got GREAT customer reviews:  4.4 out of 5 stars over 14 customer reviews, and 9 of those reviews were 4 or 5 stars.  

I read every single review and most expressed the same kind of initial skepticism that I felt:  how can an air conditioner priced so low be any good?  But all but two of the reviews said that once they got it, they had to admit it was a great air conditioner and worked well!  The two reviews that were negative were about the shipping, not the air conditioner itself (the boxes arrived broken and were being returned). 

I'm pretty much sold.  I've bought stuff from VM Innovations before and I know that they have an excellent customer service policy.  Everything on their site ships for free.  If an item arrives damaged, they will replace it immediately.  You can return anything within a 60 day time period (but unless something is their fault, you'll pay return shipping.).   

Remember, this is a 5,000 BTU air conditioner, which means it will cool only a small room, 150 square feet or less.  If you've been looking for a great deal on a small window air conditioner, this strikes me as a great deal.  (Perfect for a dorm room or apartment.)
